Versions

1.5.0

November 6, 2026

First release on sale. Video Producer takes your Borumi recordings to YouTube with a coding agent: the edit, the word-by-word transcript check, the 4K export, the copy and the cover, with two checks for you and the upload by hand. Earlier versions were private builds for one channel.

  • Your channel in Settings. The videos folder, the Borumi folder, the channel name and handle, the lines that end every description, the last tag of every video, how you write, and when videos go out, in a time zone you pick. The agent reads them with videoproducer settings --json.
  • The agent skill ships inside. Video Producer → Install Agent Skill puts the youtube-video skill where Codex and Claude Code look for it, and the app refreshes it when a new version ships one.
  • A setup checklist on first launch: Borumi, the command, the skill, the agent, the channel. videoproducer doctor checks the same things from a terminal.
  • The command installs as a copy in ~/.local/bin, so moving the app changes nothing.
  • A video file the app can’t read shows in the sidebar with the field that failed, instead of vanishing.
  • Automatic updates. The license key from your purchase turns on updates: enter it in Video Producer → License…, or when Check for Updates… asks for it. The app works without a key. A key works on 3 Macs, and License… → Deactivate This Mac frees one.
  • macOS 15 or later. The agent’s transcript checks run Whisper through MLX, which needs Apple silicon.
